Grand Palace
June 04, 2006
Today we went to the King's palace, took a river
boat ride, and saw a well known transgender show. We also went
to a new hotel in Pattaya.
The King doesn't live in the
palace anymore. It's mainly a tourist attraction and it
was a very beautiful place to visit.
After visiting the palace, we
took a boat ride on a bumpy brown river.
A view of the river before our ride. It's brown because of a lot of recent rain.
Super cool guy riding the treacherous rivers of Thailand!
Super cool guy with his 4 hairs standing up!
These guys paddle up to your boat and try to sell you items.
A view of a street market where the vendors bombard you to buy their wares.

We then went and had some food and got a Thai
massage. The massage was basically your body being
stretched in all sorts of directions and the lady smacking the
hell out of you!
A view outside of my hotel room.
Another view from my hotel room.
At night we visited a place where they had
miniature replicas of famous architectural pieces from around
the world. We had dinner there too, but it was horrible so
we went to a Thailand McDonalds!
Later we went to a place called Alcazar.
It's apparently a very famous place and many people visit it.
It's a transgender show. Most of the dancers were
obviously men, but some were surprisingly cute!.
What I learned
today about Thailand: 1) There a many men in Thailand
who dress like women and have operations to look like one.
