Today we visited the absolutely beautiful
Seoraksan National Park.
Seoraksan was an awesome place
to visit. The scenery is unmatched I'd say in the majority
of the world. The luscious greens of the trees combined
with the brown and white peaks of the mountain tops really paint
a sight to see. The GIANT 108 ton Buddha was very
impressive as well. If you look close towards the bottom
of the 3rd picture, you'll see a man that barely reaches the top of
it's pedestal. We rode a cable car to the top of the
mountain overlook where the views were breathtaking.
That night we went to the beach and a restaurant
where we enjoyed fresh seafood. When I say fresh I mean
the sushi was still moving! In one picture, you'll see the
lady actually picking the live fish from a tank. Sufficeth
to say, I didn't eat any of the moving fish. I like sushi,
but not when it's still alive!
After dinner, we went to the beach for a few
minutes and after that we went to a beachfront restaurant and
had coffee. It's a normal Korean thing to have dinner in
one place and go to another and have coffee. That's just
one of the many interesting differences between America & Korea.
Two lighthouses before dinner.
The same two lighthouses after dinner.
Two boats with a yellow moon in the background.
Yong Won shooting off fireworks.
Buddha and some fat statue.

What I learned
today about Korea: 1) The giant 108 ton Buddha was built as a
symbol of hope for the unification of North & South Korea.
