Outback & Subway
October 18,
2005
Thankfully, I found an English version.
Yesterday, as a continuation of my birthday
celebratory eating, Starrlite and I went to one of two Outback
Steakhouses in Daegu. Crazy huh? Most towns only have
one! I had the prime rib. It was ok. I need to try
some of their other cuts and hope they are better. It will
give me an excuse to go back. I also met her boyfriend.
He's a very nice guy who's studying Computer Science and interning
at Samsung. They are like the Microsoft/Wal-Mart power company
over here.
Today the subway stop near me finally opened.
Look for Manchon on the blue #2 line. That's me if you want to
come visit. Now I can stop spending about $12 a day on cab
fare. I ventured underground on my own and stared at the
Korean subway wall map for 20 minutes or so. I was only brave
enough to travel to Shiji. That's where Wal-Mart is by the
way. I ate in the diner there and rushed home afterwards to
give the food back to the earth. If you visit, I don't
recommend the fried pork cutlets from the Wal-Mart Diner....not so
good.
What I learned
today about Korea: 1) Wal-Mart Diner fried pork
cutlets...not so good.
