Chinese Visa
August 25, 2006
The first picture is ok, but I look completely retarded when I smile
with my teeth.
Today I went to a photo studio to get my picture
taken for my Chinese Visa. I'm taking a trip there Sept 2-5.
I'm really excited to see The Great Wall of China. It was a
normal studio; lights, cameras, pictures on the walls, etc.
Except the photographer here was Korean. I like to think that
I follow direction pretty well, but everything this guy said to me I
thought was "smile" but apparently it wasn't.
Each time I'd smile, he'd grimace and say
something that sounded negative. It was translated to me to
mean "don't smile." So, of course, I'd smile every time.
What I learned
today about Korea: 1) Apparently there's no smiling in
China, so don't smile for your Chinese Visa.
