English Camp
December 09, 2006
Today I went to a place called Gumi and helped out
with an English camp. It was a middle school and the students
were practicing typical English conversations in every day places
like a Post Office, Bank, the street, etc. I was assigned a
room labeled "The Street." It was my job to help the students
with normal conversations one might have on the street. With
things like directions, etc.
I actually went a little beyond the basics and got
some of the children to do a little improvisation. It was
pretty cool. I felt like I was back in acting class giving
lessons on improv basics. It was fun!
What I learned today about Korea: 1) I'm missing improv
and acting.
