Weigh In Time!
September 27, 2006

Taken September 27, 2006.

Today was weigh in time at the gym again.  It's a monthly affair.  I've been slacking off some this month.  I went to China, got 2 metal screws in my head, and have been insanely busy with a lot of new classes.  These aren't good excuses, but they are the best I have, so I'll stick with them for now.  Since last month, I've lost an additional 2.4kg (5.3 lbs).  That brings my total weight loss since I started working out to 11.5 kg (25.3 lbs)!  When I see how much I've lost in kilograms, I don't think it's that big of a deal.  But when I see it in pounds, I think...wow...really?

But, when I see my mug, I can tell I still have a long way to go.  I've been mainly trying to alter my eating habits.  My current mantra is "less food...more exercise."  I don't want to loose a ton of weight too fast and then put it all back on quickly.  I'm trying to not think that I'm "dieting" because I think that's just a multi-billion industry to take fat people's money.  I want to do it slowly and healthy and keep the weight off.  My goal is to hit 100 kg (220 lbs) before I leave Korea.  I think it's completely possible and I'm going to go for it...wish me luck!

What I learned today about Korea:  1)  Holy crap!  I've lost over 25 pounds.
