Soon after I arrived in South Korea, I learned that English is a very important part of the Korean culture.  English is everywhere; it's on clothes, signs, products, etc.  Children begin to study English at a very young age and it's a required course all the way through college.  Some companies even require their employees to pass an English test as part of the interview process.

Since I've been a teacher/trainer for many years and I've spoke English for at least the past 2 1/2 years, it was a natural fit for me to help people I meet practice and study English.  But, as soon as I started to help one person, the word of the "funny chubby American teacher" traveled like the wind and now I'm so busy that my only free time/nap time is the taxi ride between classes!  The classes I teach are either in my home, the home of the family, or a small English Academy that's close to my home.

Of course, I teach a computer course Monday-Friday nights...that's the whole reason I'm here!
