Wanna go to Korea?
August 25, 2005
I got a call from a computer school in Korea town at the end of
August asking if I wanted to go to South Korea for 5 months to teach
an A+/Net+ class. That's hardware, software, networking
troubleshooting & repair for you non-nerds. They had my resume
on file from a year or so ago when I first moved to LA looking for
part time teaching work.
Within a few days I had met with Tia from
Learnet Academy and said yes.
It was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. Experiencing a whole
new culture with a free apartment and good pay was a chance of a
lifetime.
The only part that sucked was leaving my really sweet teaching
job temporarily and missing out on 5 months of acting in LA. I
figured LA wasn't going anywhere and the place I work (DDLA)
is super cool and said there'd be a job waiting for me when I get
back.
I was selected for this gig because of my teaching experience,
certification, and military background. The classes will be
held at Yeungnam College of Science
& Technology for Americans stationed at local military bases.
Let the adventure in Daegu, South Korea begin!
