A map of Yeungnam College of Science & Technology.
Starrlite wrote on a sticky in Korean "Please take me
to Yeungnam College" and "Please take me to Taewang Leaders
apartments." Whichever direction I'm heading determines which
side of the sticky I show the taxi driver. Each time I take a
taxi, they end up going a different way and I think they are taking
me to the Seoul or something and I won't be able to tell them to
stop.
Today was my second day working at the college.
My main focus right now is designing marketing materials that we'll
use to get students to take the course.
For dinner Starrlite and I ate at a fast food
place right outside of the college. They don't have large
drinks and the burgers are super small. I had a weird tiny
thin burger with a Korean twist for flavoring. It was actually
very good, just very small. It was about the thickness of a
floppy disk.
What I learned
today about Korea: 1) It's illegal to throw food away
unless you pay a monthly fee for pickup. 2) They don't
use voice mail or answering machines here. Pretty much
everyone has a cell phone. 3) Almost everyone smokes.
